Testimonials

Dear American Dance Awards,

We attended your competition this past weekend in St. Louis. This is our first trip to your competition and I had to drop you a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our experience. We attend two competitions each year and I must say that this is the most organized and enjoyable competition we have ever attended in our more than 15 years of competitions. The level of professionalism and organization was most impressive and our students and parents were delighted with the entire weekend. We particularly enjoyed the fact that the emphasis was placed on technique and performance rather than tricks and props. Also, the fact that the dancers were age appropriate and, shall I say “clean: rather than some of the more “non age appropriate dances we have seen at other competitions was a welcome change.

We were also impressed with the comments of Mr. Scott Fowler, the special awards judge. The message that he conveyed to the dancers was so important and relevant and a great way to reward good dance and good behavior. He perfectly communicated what we try to instill in our students on a daily basis and we loved that! Again thank you for a wonderful experience. We plan on attending your competition as long as you are coming to the St. Louis area. You all did a wonderful job and we thought it was important to let you all know that.

Thank you again!

Kara Finley owner of Academy of Dance Arts.

Hi,

Once again you guys out did yourselves from every detail imaginable to the amazing staff you have backing you. They are so supportive of the cause and are truly kind to all the parents and students with 10,000 questions. The level of talent you attract goes without saying but sometimes I wonder if it can be as good and every time it is better – wow and wow. If I sound like a fan I am. Thanks, I truly admire what you have created.

Hi,

Just wanted to drop a note to say a huge thank you for a wonderful time at Nationals from myself, Susan as well as my staff and students. It ran so smoothly, the classes were fantastic. I really feel as though attending with my whole school has given the kids a new energy and a ton of motivation. We look forward to a fun and educational season next year.

Dear Gloria Jean & Bobby,

I wanted to take a moment to send a note of THANKS for ADA Columbia, Maryland, Traveling to Maryland from North Carolina was stressful in the planning stages, but turned into one of the best experiences our dancers have ever had and a great deal of that was due to the professional organization of American Dance Awards.

First, I want to sincerely commend your commitment to a realistic scoring system and no “gimme Gold”. The results in Maryland were fair, realistic and allow the kids an opportunity to understand where they have to work to improve and use the experience to learn from others about excellence and what type of ability, commitment, and ethic is necessary to have excellent results. It also allows them to truly appreciate what they receive when they know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that is a valid result! The event ran ahead of time the entire weekend, your staff was never less than friendly or accommodating and they kept the atmosphere light and fun. I have been a loyal customer to ADA since Rhee Gold’s days. That will not change. I will continue to sing your praises and use you as an example to how all competitions should be doing things! Sincere thanks for all you do!

Hi there Gloria Jean and Bobby,

Just a quick note to say wow and thanks for another fabulous nationals. As always we saw incredible talent and exposed our students to amazing opportunities in terms of classes etc. For that we are very grateful. Although we have “come a long way baby” it is both scary and inspiring to see what we have yet to achieve. The world of dance just seems to unfold at nationals and it is a place where like minded people can feel at home in discussing their craft. We all work very very hard to get to where we are and most people do not recognize that our journey is so long and difficult. When you are in a room full of people who “just get it” it is nothing less than food for the soul. For that opportunity I thank you with all my heart. It is so my world and when I am there I am in my element. It is so much more than a dance competition and so many of us recognize that. You are making our world a better place. I have never seen a better display of teachers recognizing other teachers talent. It is truly inspiring. Thank you doesn’t seem enough. You are both special people and the world is a better place with you in it.

Gloria Jean, Bobby & the ADA Staff

We just wanted to extend our thanks to all of you for all that you and your organization have offered our girls. They look forward to competition each year and have developed an ever widening circle of friends through dance. We much appreciate the organization and caliber of competition at your annual finals as well as dealing with your most competent staff. Looking forward to the next season! With thanks, Carol Ann & Ray Bohn Dear Gloria, I want to personally thank you for the wonderful competition in Chicago. Your group is so family oriented and friendly that we truly enjoyed being there. All of those who work for you are very helpful in trying to accommodate each studio and make this a good experience for everyone. We had some new students into competition with us and those parents were impressed by the talent that was there and by the smoothness with which it was run. We look forward to another year with ADA and hope to get to your Nationals. We do not participate at a National every year, but next year is our year to go.

Thank you again. Sincerely,
